Weight Loss Program Our weight loss program is a
combination of nutrition counseling, real food and meal replacement products
customized to meet your health and weight loss needs. Combining 2 or more of
these three components have helped our patients lose more weight than other
weight loss methods they have tried in the past, and have helped many become
free of their blood pressure and adult onset diabetes medications. Our program
is easy to follow, more cost effective than traditional nutrition counseling
methods and our patients see immediate results without hunger. What to expect
Our
weight loss program includes an initial nutrition assessment and weekly
nutrition sessions with one of the MMF.com nutrition experts divided into 3
phases: weight loss, transition, and weight maintenance. Support meetings are
optional. Nutrition Assessment
At
your nutrition assessment, your personal trainer will ask you a variety of
health questions and design a weight loss program that is specific to your
weight loss goals and health issues.
Patients
who need to lose more than 10 pounds will most likely start the weight loss
phase of our program. Patients who have less than 10 pounds to lose will most
likely be encouraged to start their weight loss journey in the transition
phase. During the weight loss phase low calorie, low fat, and nutritionally
balanced diet with dietary supplements designed to maximize weight loss are
combined with weekly nutrition counseling sessions. The timing, portion size
and nutrient composition of the meals are designed to create rapid weight loss
while preserving muscle tissue, and to eliminate physical hunger while
providing energy. Meals are consumed 6 times a day and patients typically lose
3-5 pounds a week on this plan. Once the goal weight is achieved, a transition
and maintenance plan follow. Patients with high blood pressure, high
cholesterol and/or adult onset diabetes who need to lose weight are also
encouraged to participate in this phase.
The
transition phase is implemented when the patient has only 5-10 pounds to lose
or left to lose. Weekly nutrition counseling sessions will support and instruct
the transition to less meal replacements and focus on the intake of other
foods. Weight loss will slow, but will continue while a variety of foods are
consumed. Eating out is easy during this phase. Maintenance Phase
Once
the goal weight is reached, the maintenance plan begins. Weekly nutrition
support with one of our nutrition specialists encourages and educates proper
nutrition including healthy snacks and portion control at home and in
restaurants and provides you with the support you need to keep the weight off.
